This little corner gets a lot of activity. It offers much freedom
of choice. Their are small pieces of watercolor, watercolor pencils,
brushes and oil pastel. This is a place to go after our main body
of work is completed for the day. The artists get to face the courtyard
and sometimes see their parents walking by.

There is also a new element:the spray bottle. It seems
so simple, but it takes a strong finger to press the water
out, thus building fine motor skills while having fun.

The children had a nice time working with soft chalk pastels
and water. They explored warm color and cool color while
choosing different tools to wet their paper. I am always amazed
at how the simple projects captivate their imaginations.
