The first day back after Spring break was gentle. Using chalk and wet
sponges on paper, the artists experienced the changes that happened
on their paper. The endless fascination with
one's own hand print is apparent in the young artist's minds.
They were young at the beginning of the year, but now they are
starting to tower above the table. They smile and are eager to create and they
talk about their art trying to communicate with words. It is similar to
Michaelangelo who looked at a piece of marble carving away what he envisioned.
Our youngest children speak, carving out their words anxiously waiting for us
to understand. They draw each line piecing together what they see.
