YD painted with water on paper and played with
colored chalks. They watched the color fanning out
as they worked. They were very enthusiastic watching
the results of their work.

This is a new area of the room where the children can
work freely with pencil or tempera cakes. This gives them time
to explore without distraction.

This young artist is painting with watercolor
on his own after our group work. Again, this space
is for free work. They can usually bring these small
pieces home with them.

More time for free work. Watercolor, paper and
watercolor pencils are in this area. They really treasure
this alone time. A lot of conversation happens here.
